hey Seth, little tip for ya, i repair my own broken electronics quite often, so i think i may have some info that may be of use to you. A+ on the rubbing alcohol and scrubbing the alcohol, the one thing you messed up is blowing out the alcohol, it evaporates fast enough on its own, by blowing it out in that circumstance your risk forcing alcohol further into it. just a suggestion for ya!

Hey Bro, you can remove hot glue with some of that isopropyl alcohol. Spray it on the glue where its bonded to the surface, wait a little bit, and it comes right off

For dirty contacts, use electronic contact cleaner or if there is corrosion or battery acid, make a paste with a little water and baking soda. Apply and leave for 24 hours, then rinse with water, compressed air gun and it will work well. I am dedicated to electronics and that's how I do it, it always works.

Hey my dad and I work on cars, he takes out dents, and I take out the scratches. My dad has to do glue pulling sometimes and a really easy way to get the glue off is with rubbing alcohol.

On the flashlight, should've just used alcohol to dissolve the glue. It completely wrecks the hot glue bond.
